Items of bare messing (brass) get oxidised and tarnished over time when in contact with moisture and air. The colour changes gracefully to darker and more matte, which some people prefer, but if you like to bring back shine, please use a polishing cloth. If items are still grimy, you can also go further with a brass cleaner.

Black and Rainbow items are coloured by ion plating on messing. For those plated items, please avoid using polishing cloth or scratching on hard surfaces.
